How do you pick the right Disney name for your dog?
When naming your new puppy, there are a few things you’ll want to keep in mind.
For one, you want to choose a name that has meaning to you, but you also want it to have meaning for your dog, as well.
You can certainly have a Disney movie marathon with your doggo, but you’ll want to think of a name that is easy for them to remember and respond to.
Giving them a name with more than one syllable will allow you to convey more emotion when speaking to them.
Alternatively, you’ll want to choose a name that doesn’t sound too similar to something or someone else, such as a typical command you’re trying to teach them or another pet’s name.
When choosing a Disney name, you can also think about your pup’s breed, size, and coloring.
For example, if you have a small breed female, you can consider the name “Minnie.”
It’s a common female Disney name but will fit your dog’s size at the same time. (Plus, you can fashion her up with some bows, if she’ll let you.)
Do you have a Dalmatian? There are plenty of names to choose from catering to spotted dogs from the movie 101 Dalmatians.
Some of these names might sound a bit cliche, but your dog will own their name.
What’s in a name? Who is the most famous dog with a Disney name?
You’re not the only one thinking about naming your pooch after a Disney character. In fact, there are a ton of pups already spotting Disney names.
Take a look at these Instagram accounts for some inspiration.
